In the absence of the
Committee Chair, the Committee Vice Chair, John Silvestri, called the meeting
to order at 0830 hours. Introductions
were done and the committee welcomed Patrick Williams of St. Marys Regional
Medical Center and Robert Daigle of International Paper (Auburn).

SECRETARY'S REPORT
The Secretary's report for the meeting of 30 January was
accepted without change. Meeting minutes are now posted on the County EMA
Website: http://www.androscogginema.org
OLD BUSINESS
A. Committee Secretary reported there were no requests for community right-to-know information since the last meeting
B. Committee Secretary provided the SERC and SERC Training Reports SERC meeting minutes not yet received; EMA Training Report - EMA Deputy Director, has been busy conducting ICS training for Livermore and surrounding communities and conducted fit-testing for Androscoggin County Sheriff Dept patrol officers on February 24; the Asst Plans, Trng & Ops Officer attended the FEMA Resource Management Course on February 10-11; training for CERT/CART is ongoing with day-long training session scheduled for Saturday 28 February; MEMA/SERC have changed from the Annual Hazmat Conference to the 1st Annual Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference which is scheduled for April 30-May 1 at the Augusta Civic Center Conference Registration brochure/form can be accessed by going to the MEMA web site www.state.me.us/mema - go to the Spotlight box and click on the link for Maine Partners in Emergency Preparedness Conference the page with conference info will open up and click on the Adobe link that indicates can be downloaded now in Adobeฎ .pdf format. . C. Financial Report: Funds received since last meeting: $2,655.50 for contract planner + $50.00 rebate for CERT/CART equipment + earned interest of $8.54 for January for a total of $2,714.04; total expenditures $394,310.32; unencumbered balance $26,376.57 and encumbered balance $10,150.60; purchases made since last meeting none; purchases to recommend none; SPECIAL NOTE: LEPCs checking account with TD BankNorth has been closed new account opened at Androscoggin Bank offering an interest rate of 1.5% and NO FEES
D. Status of Homeland Security Grant 2007 - Where are we now?
No activity in this area until the next round of grant dollars become available

Reminder that 2008 Chemical Inventory Reports
(Tier II Reports) are due march 1 many reports have already been submitted

discussed recent hearing conservation training recently conducted by 3M Company
she described the training as excellent and urged facilities that must
provide hearing protection for employees to avail themselves of this
